Also worry about being bumped from a flight. Stuff like that.
Once my butt is in the seat, I'm golden.
I always do worry though that my butt isn't going to fit, or I'll need the extender. If you can, try to sit in the front of the plane or in the back, that way your not in the middle of the whole plane asking for an extender with everyone looking on. It's a little more of a private conversation. Also I think you can buy your own extender so you won't even have to ask for one.
The last time I flew the seatbelt was long! I mean super way long. I wonder if they have seats with bigger belts now? And it might only be certain seats because my daughter sitting next to me had a regular belt.
I assume that they may call ahead n order an extend to placed on their seat before they board the plane. Just buy 2 seats and leave arm rest in up right postion.
leasing 2 seats also gives extry room keeps our hips off the person thighs arm, and extry room to bring back gifts from vaction.
Now being over weigh wouldn't be concern and I would lmao if my butt got stuck when I tried to stand.
I will not fly if children come aboard. I just ake mmyself comfy. I think that incidents can be funny and even funnier when others also laugh. Years ago I had a chair stuck on me butt when I started to stand up, lol
Now if you see the polite n co polite at terminal bar, then I wouldn't get on that plane.
You will have fun. In this life,, when it comes right down to it the only thing that atter is taking care of our health.
I have a sandles n boot, and oh ya I'm free to travel. when will we be leaving, lol
enoy and have fun fun fun. oh ya if you have food slip just don't over do it. samples add up.
I find the seats miserable. I don't mind the process of flying, but the seats on most airlines are simply too small. American used to have seats that were a bit bigger but they left the airport I normally fly out of. The seatbelt is part of the discomfort but they're narrow for upper bodies too. Unless I want to constantly rub shoulders with my seatmate, I sit with my shoulders hunched in for the entire flight. Past couple of times I've flown it's been with my DH so being cozy is fine. Even at that though, we both always feel a bit crowded and cramped.
Hope you get a good seat assignment and are able to arrange for the belt extender in advance.
Enjoy California!
I really want to go visit my family in England again but real afraid I wont fit in the seat and it will be a mega embarrassment.
What I'm afraid of now is not fitting in the seat I don't like to be spilling over into someone else's space. I can't afford 2 seats & sure can't go first class! And the thought of not fitting is unbearable.
I'm wanting to go to Hawaii, but, since I am so heavy. all the walking is hard & I'm just chicken to take a chance on the seating. I don't know what they do if you don't fit * I don't remember what I weighed last time I flew.
It sucks, & yes, I couldn't use the tray either. I'm losing weight so I'm hoping I will lose enough weight to make it easier. I'm retired & want to travel.
I wouldn't worry about what you think others might be thinking. Just go & have fun. Like I said, I ask for the extender when I am boarding & they are very discreet.
And Deadbeat if I ever fly international again I might have to go first class...it looked sooooo comfy! Lol
