Obesity Support Group
This community is dedicated to those of us struggling with obesity. Obesity is thought to be a significant risk factor in certain health conditions, leading to increased mortality. Find the support you need by sharing your story, asking questions, and learning from others on how they have coped.
As you age, the your body's ability to tighten back up decreases. I've heard this from a LOT of people. I've known people on other message boards who have had plastic surgery for this on a couple areas. That isn't something I would opt for -- but to each their own.
That said, if flabby upper arms and thighs are my worst problem of being thinner and healthier, bring it on! I feel better, have more energy, and move more easily. I can shop at "regular" stores. I can keep up with my loved ones when we're out doing something.
I won't say I don't care about my looks - but it isn't the most important thing for me. There is always going to be someone out there that doesn't like something about the way I look - whether it's my weight, my hair color or something else. I don't much care. I care about how I feel and I wouldn't trade how I'm feeling just to have firm arms.
