Obesity Support Group
This community is dedicated to those of us struggling with obesity. Obesity is thought to be a significant risk factor in certain health conditions, leading to increased mortality. Find the support you need by sharing your story, asking questions, and learning from others on how they have coped.
I try to get my movement in by being as active as I can at home just leading my daily life. Sometimes it's little things like if I have laundry to put away, I'll carry it from the laundry room to the bedrooms/closet in 3 or 4 trips when I could realistically do it in one trip. I've stopped avoiding housework ;-) and really get in to vacuuming and dusting...event the corners and high places! When there's a song on the radio that I really like, I'll get up and dance for a few minutes.
I wear a fitbit tracker and have a pretty conservative goal for the number of steps I want to take each day. Looking at the tracker tells me how active I'm being and it helps me a lot and gets me off my tooshie!
You can do it..I deal each morning pain in butt ,sciatica.I use a cane..for support .exercise helps with joint pain. Also.My 83 years old mom, had a hip surgery a year ago. She walks indoors w a walker.everyday!! Stop making excuses and just do it!!! :)
