I do charts and graphs to track my progress to make it more "real". I also keep a daily journal of weight, cals, exercise and foods.
Good job on those 2 pounds lost. Keep up the good work.

Yesterday I was doing REALLY well until about 10:00 when I had a half a double cheeseburger and a small fry my hubby had brought back from McDonalds earlier in the day that I hadn't eaten because I was being so good. Still, it was my first day of being 1500 calories or less, but better than that, I didn't pig out on any ice cream or cookies or sweet carbs. Yay me!
I hope the rest of you are having a Blessed Sunday.
That's down .2. I would have expected a greater loss after Day 2 of being on track due to water loss if nothing else, but I had to change the lithium battery in the scale since it kept giving me different numbers. Still .2 down is in the right direction. :)
Regarding daily weigh-ins though, I saw a bit of advice once that I've held on to and I use it as a reminder.....
Weight Loss isn't linear.
If I eat only 500 calories on Monday, I'm not likely to see an immediate loss on Tuesday. The same is true in reverse - if I go a little crazy on Tuesday, it may not show up on the scale on Wednesday.
Daily weighing is really just a tool for me - but I won't let it be something I beat myself up with. Some days there are simply inexplicable gains. Other days, pretty astounding losses. Some I know is water - but some I think might just be the alignment of the stars that day!
As you said, just keep doing the healthy thing every day and eventually your body and the scale will catch on to the program!
BTW - congrats on not getting crazy on sweet carbs. That's my biggest weakness! I always admire someone when they're able to maintain control with those.
