My name is Lisa. I'm 40 yrs old and live in Seattle. I am obese and I'm also a food addict. I recently started going to Overeaters Anonymous. It seems to be helping a little, but it's going very slow for me. Maybe I just need some more patience? Anyway, I've been overweight all my life. This last recent weight gain has really concerned my doctor. He has basically said, lose weight or die!
I HATE being obese. You are so limited as to what you can do. My weight has pretty much afgected every aspect of my life. I have a bad foot so I can no longer bartend. It's hell trying to walk up stairs. I get winded, short of breath, so easily. My lower back is killing me and my hips hurt when I stand for too long. The lower back hurts because now, my stomach sags so badly that my lower back has to carry my sagging stomach. That's where all my weight is!
So, that's my story in a nutshell. I would appreciate any feedback and/or support I can get! Thanks so much!

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? You just wrote my story, only I am about 60 years old and live in New Mexico. My doctor is very concerned. I have arthritis in both knees, due to my excessive weight. Stairs are a BITCH. My lower back also suffers because my stomach is so heavy and hangs so low. My favorite joke is that my stomach needs to be lifted up to see that I am female!
