How do you tolerate this scenario? Working with an NP who gives phone orders, you copy them down and put them in the med chart to be transcribed and put in the MAR. A couple days later when she decides to come in she accuses you of screwing up to another nurse saying "I never told her it was for ten days." When I very clearly repeated the order back to her. This happens frequently. She is notorious for miscommunicating and blaming whoever it was she communicated with for screwing up. Very snarky and backstabbing, snotty and rude to other staff. She is only a contractor where I work so she is only here like once or twice tops a week. She is part of the email list so when I send out an email to staff, she will read it, and rip it apart even though I am totally within my right to send it. She declines to have meetings for the medical department but complains when things go wrong. she never fills out her prescriptions thoroughly, forgets to discontinue certain meds, and physically avoids seeing certain patients when she comes in. She will actually run out the door so the client doesn't see her. It is a residential setting.
Then she will act nice to me. Then rude, then nice etc. I am SO sick of it. I am not sure how to handle this. Any suggestions??
