Hey lexisgirl. Yeah i got it about 2 weeks ago as nothing elsw has really worked. My onc decided to put me on the trial for it. Its a mad little thing. Comes in a radioactive safe box and the nurses cant touch the liquid. On the first day i got rituximab infusion and then 7 days later i got rituximab in the morning and 4 hours later then was given the zevalin and thats it for 3 months aside from regular bloods and gamma camera scans.

Wow that is a tricky little drug. My doctor has talked to me about when I want to talk about what is next when Rituxan won't work any more. He said it is showing great promise. Hopefully it kicks your cancer's ass!

Im hopeful that this one will do the trick. There isnt many here in ireland on it. How is your plan coming along?

I'm coming along. I relapsed in March. Had surgery to have it removed. It came back in May. Did radiation in June. It went away until September where it came back 1/2" from the last lump. Just had it removed almost 2 weeks ago. We are going to wait to see what it does next to figure out what to do. Probably more radiation but it is tough to say. My problem is right now, it is growing in my right eyebrow. So it is visible and I see it all day long. I now have a big dent in my eyebrow from the lump removal. They say it will smooth out with time but for now, it is pretty obvious. Cancer sucks. :-) But at least I get another holiday season without treatment.

So what does it mean that yours is mantle now instead of Follicular? How are you feeling? Hopefully good.

Jesus thats tough lexisgirl... but as you said at least you have the holiday treatment free. Yeah the follicular was thrown out the bag a few weeks into the treatment intially, it was then decided that it was diffuse large b cell and now they have decided its mantle. There were docs over from the us and they diagnosed the mantle cell.... im glad as the docs in the us are interacting with the hospital i go to in waterford. The doctor im attending studied in the us. Iv had a change of hospital and doctor since i was first on the forum.

Hey all sorry i havent been on in a while. Had a 10% reduction in the so we are now sitting at 33% of lymphnodes affected and 36% of bones affected. Im on the second round and due to get the results of this in may so not long to go. Hope all is well.

I think of you often Rach. I hope all is going well. I just met with my radiation guy again. I'm getting ready to do more radiation on my eyebrow. This time will be the big guns.

I start tomorrow and have it until 5/27. I'm ready to fight! Hope you are doing okay. Hang in there and let yourself rest if you are fatigued. It is a marathon, not a sprint!
