Hi, I am sorryto hear about your friend. I do not know about this type of NHL (I have Follicular B-Cell NHL). I have never heard that about chocolate. I do believe sugar feeds cancer and that diet in general plays a huge role in the cancer rates. I stick to a clean eating plan - I eat food as close to it's natural state as possible - no fast foods, or processed foods. I also stick to organic fruits, veggies, dairy, etc. The stuff they allow in our food is killing us. I do not use any artificial sweetners either. I feel better than ever as a result. This is just my course of action and my belief...but I really believe there is truth in it. I am always reading about our food supply and make small changes along the way. I wish your friend all the best and think you are a grat friend for looking out for him.

Sorry to hear about your friend. The American Cancer society has a booklet about nutrition during chemotherapy. Many of the facts may surprise you. For instance.. no fresh fruit, which cannot be peeled because of the bacteria. Most fruits and veggies need to be cooked. Sweets for the most part are not the best choices, but a few treats won't hurt.
I would obtain these tried and true booklets, and avoid word of mouth diets. The body requires good nutrition to fight the disease, and the well balanced programs for chemo are outlined in these American Cancer booklets. The suggestions really work! I hope this helps.
