I am a 39 y/o female and have been in remission from High grade diffuse large B cell lymphoma for 2 years.
The anxiety over the cancer returning is worse at the start. It does start to fade. One day you will realise that you haven't even thought about it in a while. The appointments will get further apart.
I hope this helps.

I have Follicular B cell NHL. Mine always comes back at some point but I have long periods of remission which helps. I've also done Rituxan and last year I had radiation and am back in remission again.
Hang in there and do your best to continue living. Every day you enjoy is a day you beat cancer again and again.
Congratulations on being cancer free! I completely understand your anxiety of the cancer coming back. I have the same problem, and it can be really ugly, I won't lie. I always say that I was a better cancer patient than a cancer survivor. Being a patient, you know what you have to do...you have to undergo treatment and fight. But once that's over, it's a waiting game.
I was diagnosed in June of '07 with diffuse large B cell lymphoma. Every single year since then right around...May, June, or July....my anxiety goes through the roof, I always think I'm having the same type of symptoms I did back in '07, and I just have a melt down. The only thing I can do is have blood work done and a chest x-ray and wait for the results. So, feelings can run the gamut.
So hang in there, we all know how you feel. If you need to talk, please don't hesitate to reach out.
