You need to get a MRI of your cervical. What part of the arm is numb? I have radiculopathy from a bulging disk in my C6/C7 area. The area it affects is top of the shoulder, front of arm, down to thumb, and index finger.
As you know, doing your job will put a lot of strain on your neck too, leaning over all day, so that might be what got the neck going...
Ask for a referral to a Orthopedic doctor, he will have a better idea. A Neurologist can do a nerve conduction study and see if the nerve pathway is obstructed, so that might be the first option.
Good luck!
