I have had PN in the feet for 8 years. It started with a tingling in the toes and now has spread to numbness in the bottom and tops of both feet. I have had Dotors treat and or prescribe medication for my PN using spinal decompression, electrical stimulation while feet are submerged in water, vibration stimulation, Gabapentin, Pregabalin, electrical stimulation while injecting medication into the leg behind each knee. I have used salves of all types.
None of the above has seemed to help. The numbness seems to continue to spread slowly.
I have had a couple of Doctors propose Stem Cell Teatments (at extremely high costs) which I have chose not to pursue. Anyone experienced using Stem Cell treatment?
Any and all suggestions appreciated!
I have compression neuropathy of my arms. There are one or 2 others in the group who have PN and hopefully they will chime in soon.
I have no knowledge of stem cell treatment except that it's in its experimental stages.
Have you had the blood circulation of your legs checked by a vascular surgeon?
Do you have diabetes? If so, controlling that is important.
Medical cannabis can help with general pain and neuropathic pain, but it may be contraindicated because of your age. It can cause dizziness.
I find baclofen, a muscle relaxant, to reduce the neuropathic pain in my arms but I don't know if it would help with PN.

I have had cool laser treatments through my chiropractor and that has helped. I also take a form of vitamin B1 called Benfotiamine that is good for nerve health.. I eat as much omega 3 foods as possible. Also taking ALA vitamin.. I’m improving slowly.
Super cut back on sugar and simple carbs since they tend to hurt nerves.
