I am having trouble with my eyes. I get what I can best describe as meteor shower in the outside corner of my eyes. It is a black background with flashing white lights cascading down. There is no tear in the retina. Floaters on one eye. In the other eye a scan shows that some viterous is pulling away from retina. The eyes are dry and I am using lubricating drops. Anyone ever have this? Is it related to neuropathy?

You should see your dr. and find out for sure. I know my neuropathy made my eyesight worse. I finally hit the age where it got better, but the difference in the worsening was readable.

If you have seen a opthalmologist, and everything is ok, I would think that it's due to the vitreous fluid pulling away. This can cause weird side effects.

You MUST be sure that your intraocular pressure is within normal limits -- Glaucoma can cause these "showers" too. So if you haven't had your pressure tested, please do so ASAP!!!

I doubt seriously that this is related to the Neuropathy. I was an Optician for more than 15 years, so I learned alot during that time.
