Hi I am a 32 year old female who was just diagnosed with nf 1 ......they removed a fibroma off my back and biopsied it to determine I had it , because I only have a couple of bumps and now I am so scared that i am going to get more.......do you always get more or do they always get bigger.......I also have all the frecklibg and the nodules in my eyes and scolios in my back and yet the doctors have just found this after 32 years....I feel like I am driving myself crazy!!!!!!!!

sadly you will get more bumps. they may be small and some may be large. I am 33 and have known all my life I have had NF. You will learn to deal with it And we here in this grup all know what it is like. Everyone in here either hs NF hs a loved one with it or a good friend with it, We will be here for you and try to answer any questions you hve

I was diagnosed at about your age, a little younger actually. You will probably get more. Try to find a doc now who will be willing to remove them. I am still looking. But then I have moved from time to time. and they don't "always get bigger". I have some I've had for years and they seem to get to a point and then quit growing. I think some do get bigger, but.

Welcome to DS you will get lots and lots of support here. Sadly yes you will give bumps but it is not the end of the world. Hang in there. Hugs.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
