I am going through a divorce, and I do worry and think about something I have not had to worry about in 20 yrs. I do have what the dr say is a mild case, but I still worry about how dating will be. I mean its going to be hard anyway after being married for 20 years, but put having NF on top of that and I just see a lot of lonely years ahead of me.

yep me too i'll be single here in a hurry. But now my heads fixed and i look somewhat normal so it will be a little easier talking to the ladies. Don't worry about your NF if it wasn't that it'd be something else. Try and not let it hold ya back.

my nf is mild too and it really has not ever gotten in the way of much
my fiancee now can see them of course and he really could not care less about me having it
i do wish i could have another child, but it is good that he is just happy being a father figure to my son since i will most likely not have any more.
i say to hell with those anyway who judge on things that can not be helped

Thank you for what you both said. It does make me feel better. I know I have to just get the attitude that if they don't like it, then there not worth it. Something I will have to work on doing.

I don't think that it will be a problem. I have lots of bumps, arms hands, head, face. Ie been married 3 times. Just call me the Larry King of NF.

i agree it 's a complicating factor. but like the others said, we can't let it stop us living our lives! we all deserve love, and a partner who will treat us with respect, dignity and kindness.

I definitely try not to think about it. I know that its on my mind when I think about finding someone, but I have to try very hard to believe that someone will except me the way I am, and give me a chance to discover that I am more then what I look like. I hope this is true, but I have to be honest, and I am scared that I will be alone because of this. But I guess its better listen more to what my sister says, that everyone has something.
