Neurofibromatosis is usually noncancerous. There are three types of this condition. Type 1 usually appears in childhood, while Types 2 and 3 appear in early adulthood. Does anyone know if having more children makes the neurofibromatosis worse? I want to have at least two more children but if its going to get worse i just want to prepare myself. I thought I heard something about it but I just wanted to see if anyone else know....

That is the way it worked with mine, or so it seemed. I have heard that the pregnancy hormones do that, but as I don't have a magic mirror where I can see what I would have looked like now without having children. I know men who got a lot more tumors as they got older and obviously were never pregnant. lol. I don't regret having any of my children, even if it did make the NF worse.

being pregant did not mke the NF worse it reactived my seizers...... I dont know whats worse getting more bumps or having the seizers back

I am sorry to say that both times I was pregnant I got several neurofibromas, I only had 2 until I got pregnant the first time I also passed it on to both of my children I wish I had better news for you Maybe their are others with better luck

In my case I did get more tumors especially with my second, but I have no regrets.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
