I was recently doing some research on DNA inheritance in blood transfusions to see if there was any way a person's DNA could be modified by receiving blood during a transfusion. The article I found said no, but during a bone marrow transplant, the DNA of the recipient usually reflects that of the donor because this involves the transferring of blood stem cells.
Has anyone read anything about NF studies that attempted to cure or treat someone with NF by doing a bone marrow transplant of someone without NF?

NF1 effects the body on a cellular level you cannot exchange dna but there is something new they are trying for another genetic disorder that is called a gene patch. bc genes and chromosomes are made up of protiens they can fill in gaps and cover abnormalities by using a gene patch. i dont know a whole lot about this i read it in passing one day. I dont even remember the disorder that they are trying it on but the disorder worked the same as nf as far as secreating a protein improperly. so i think if it works for that disorder then it could be fitted for other disorders like it. now it secreats an Imperfect protien but it still does the job.
that is where we should put our faith!
