I am new to vasovagal. I was just diagnose. when I was under 18 I had times of fainting spells but then went away until 2 and half years ago and last week I did the Tilt table test and past out and was told that I have Vasovagal. I have not seen my MD and caroilogist refused to treat me because I have Meniere's disease. He sent me to my MD, has an appiontment soon. I feel lost and does not know what to do. I drive and work. I have to drive to keep my job. I am scared also. Is there any natural treatment. Please advice.

My daughter has POTS which causes fainting also. She also has fibromyaglia, chronic migraines, mitral valve prolapse, and IBS. She has been diagnosed with all of these for about five years now. Last year one doctor said she had Meniere's disease. Another doctor ruled it out. Dizziness is also a problem with my daughter. You can increase consumption of salt and fluids to increase blood volume. My daughter drinks plenty of sports drinks or drinks with electrolytes. This does help her. Wearing graded compression stockings may be helpful. You should find another cardiologist. I hope the best for you.

Hi,
I have Meniere's so salt will be out of the question. Salt with Meniere's does not go good. I have Meniere's for a long time do wear an hearing aid. I do wear a compression stockings that what possible my cardiologist. I am working on stress. My job can cause stress and other things.

Oh, I forgot with Meniere's you cannot consume a lot of salt! I do remember reading about that when they thought my daughter had Menier's. You need to find a cardiologist that can work with your other illnesses and doctors. What about the electrolyte drinks?

I was never told that I could not drink electrolyte drinks. I will buy some. So I have to stop driving? I drive 99% of the time for my job. I am nervous if I have to stop working.

I drive and work. I don't have problems in the car and now that I have the NCS under control, I rarely have problems at all. Drink lots of water. If you have high blood pressure, instead of low blood pressure then salt would not be a good idea. but since NCS alone involves low blood pressure, we need salt. That's why electrolyte drinks work so well.

I am drinking vitamin water. cannot have salt because I have Meneire's disease. Cannot drink gator because of salt with Meniere's. Doctors cannot treat me because of the Meniere's. I drive and sometimes stop because of it.

I have a lot of medical issues and see a lot of doctors. So much going on with my health at this time. Plus work full time. Can be overwhelming. Plus am doing this by myself. Am always sick and very tired. Plus get sad at times but cheer myself up.
