Tell us about your personal experience with Ritalin as a treatment: Has it worked? Have you had any issues? Any recommendations or tips?
In England - we have stupid doctors and they will not prescribe me neither benzindrine nor ritalin. Only Provigil which I don\'t take anymore.
Hence I receive my medication from another nearby country where I also hold nationality.
Ritalin helps a bit. Unlike benzidrine/adderall you can\'t (or let\'s say I can\'t) take progressively more and more. There is a cap limit where I end up with nausea.
Sometimes the drug doesn\'t work - well nothing works - when narco spells are intense.
Really wished I could be prescribed Ritalin in the UK. But the doctors here rather give the drug to perfectly healthy 7 year olds.
I myself am on a high dose of ritalin I take two different doses. I also take a breakoff my ritalin, The days I don't work I pick a day that I can not take my meds and tell my husband and kids they are on their on for a day. Just so I tell them they are fine with it. It was reccommend by my neurologist. It works for me I do this about 1/14 days.
I told my sleep doc that Provigil was not working, so he prescribed me 10mg of Ritalin to take with 200mg Provigal in AM- then the other 200mg Provigal at 11am - still nothing.
I'm at 30mg plus the 400mg Provigal right now and I still fall asleep.
