my 5 year old adopted daughter has ADD. I will be starting her on meds and getting her in for a sleep study.

Just think we can share our meds, ha. has anyone tried concerta?I am on ritalin now and like it.

My son is on concerta for ADHD. He has just switched to this from Equasym. It is not working as well as the equasym did. I have only just been diagnosed (Narcolepsy) and waiting to see the consultant to get started on meds.

I'm on Equasym for Narcolepsy at the moment and it seems to be working at 5mg but probbably could do with a higher dose as I do still get sleep spells.

On Equasym, I feel a lot calmer and more alert than with Provigil.

99% of the leaftlet information is for ADHD.

I had ADHD type problems when I was younger, that could have been Narcolepsy. I have been diagnosed as hypothyroid but the medication doesn't do anything so, Narcolpesy looks like the answer.

my 10yr old son is on concerta for Nand c.he is also on normal ritalin to top it up..so far so good,,nearly one week now .We have tried lots of other meds and are really hopeful..We are also waiting to hear if we can get xyrem....hope ur little girl will be ok....

My son has been on Concerta 18 mg one a day in the morning for ADHD since November and the difference in him when he is on his medication is like night and day. He's not taking anything else but there have been no more reports from school about him hitting/hurting other students and his scores have definitely improved. He doesn't normally eat lunch or eats little of his lunch because it is an appetite suppressant but we combat this with a big breakfast and snacks in between school/dinner/bed. My son turns 7 next month. Good luck with your daughter. Hope everything turns out okay!
