Anyone who has been or is still in a relationship with a Narcissist will suffer a great deal and need support to understand what is or has happened and need a lot of insight and support.

I think I may be a victim of narcissistic abuse. The narcissist in my life is my younger half-sister. Ever since we were wee little kids, my mom has spoiled my kid sister to the point of babying her and not holding her accountable for her actions (my sister has ADHD and learning problems, and my mom seems to have felt the need to baby her over this). All the spoiling and babying has done is turn my half-sister into a selfish, self-centred, inconsiderate person with a superiority complex (she once said that me and our two older step-siblings, quote-unquote "weren't worth shit" compared to her), and who acts like the world revolves around her, and has no regard for other people's feelings and needs. Since we were very little, she has acted like I'm the hired help around the family home and ordered me around like a servant, told friends that I'm not really her sister and had no consideration or respect for me. She has used and abused me over the years: took advantage of me, put down my intelligence and my weight, talked trash about me (even right in front of me, which she denies, even though some of her own friends can vouch for this), never used her manners around me when we were kids (she would help herself to my belongings without using her manners and asking me first, and would tell people I just simply didn't want to share with her, when in reality all I was asking for was manners, and honesty when she accidentally damaged something of mine) and told all kinds of lies about me, like that I'm supposedly a gutless coward. Well, actually I don't know if all of what she said was lies or some of it was just her misperception of things, but what she said still wasn't true, and she seemed to be bound and determined to make me look bad. She's even done that gaslighting thing that some narcissists do, trying to distort reality to make it look like you're crazy (she once asked me to turn off the front porch light, and it wasn't even on, and when I told her that, she raced down to the front door, flipped the light on right in front of me, and tried to make it sound like it really had been on all along and made it sound like I was blind and losing my mind, when I swear, it was off). And she was constantly misplacing her belongings and accusing me of stealing them when I didn't, and once, when proof was placed right in front of her eyes that I didn't steal from her- she accused me of stealing her wallet, when mom had it because my half-sister gave it to mom to hold on to- even then, she continued to rant and rave that I stole from her. She also constantly makes things all about her, when they really don't have anything to do with her personally (like that time she wanted to do a Christmas play to entertain the family, and at first I was all for it until I saw how embarassing the play was and backed out of it- and she acted like my backing out of the play was an attack on her personally and led mom to believe I was picking on her, when in reality, it was the play that was the problem, not her personally). And when I attempted suicide, she again made it all about her (it wasn't), and stood outside my bedroom door calling me all kinds of nasty names and said things like "you wanna die? Go ahead!" And what's really sad is, she does all these things to me and more, and no one has my back in dealing with her, not even our mom. Mom just chooses to baby her and make excuses for my half-sister's treatment of me (like saying that "that's just the way she is", when that's not important, what's important is that my half-sister doesn't need to treat me like this), doesn't stand up to her and tell her off, and believes my half-sister's lies about me and dismisses my feelings (I'm "over-reacting" or being a crybaby, when I have a right to be upset over this treatment). And I'm not allowed to stand up to my half-sister myself; if I do, mom gets angry. So I have to grin and bear her abuse. And what's really weird is that when she treats mom this way, it's considered abuse by mom, but it's not abuse when my half-sister does it to me. My half-sister's treatment of me has gotten so bad, she's one of the main reasons I moved out of the family home when the opportunity presented itself. I moved out to get out from under her thumb, and get away from her treating me like a slave and verbally and emotionally abusing me. And everything that goes wrong in her life is always my fault in her eyes, like when she slipped on a patch of black ice in 2016 and blamed it on me, when I wasn't even with her when it happened (I was at my veterinary assistant practicum). In fact, once when we were teenagers, she blamed me for the physical abuse my birth father inflicted on her when she was a baby, when I was just a 3 year old toddler at the time of the abuse, and wasn't even aware that he had physically abused her until she brought it up during this fight and mom confirmed it. My half-sister is also not open to talking about her behavior or how she treats me (or how she treats anyone, for that matter): she shouts "I don't care, I don't care!" and refuses to talk things out in a calm and civil manner, so nothing gets resolved.
