So, after saying I haven't ran into the ex, it happened today. My daughter had a job interview at the mall and asked me to come along for lunch and some shopping after. Saw him from afar, kept walking and he jogged to catch up and hugged me!! OMFG!!! Most of you probably don't remember me from years ago, but the last time I saw this man it was a horrible fight over the divorce papers with me wanting to kill him and him kicking the screen door into my face on the way out 5.5 years ago. So, after the awkward hug, he was just dripping sweet charm, asking how my son is doing, my parents and then he tells me he has heard that I am still going to the university (and I'm thinking who the hell from?) and he is now attending the same university, and then he asks my daughter if her boyfriend drives a white Mustang, which is actually my daughter's car. WTF? So, he says he has a twice weekly job that's right by our house and he's seen the Mustang sitting at the house and wondered. Thankfully, my daughter had the interview, so we were able to cut it short without having to cause a scene in the middle of the mall. As we were leaving, he said to tell my son "hi" and to let him know he has the same phone number if he wants to contact him. When hell freezes....
