I learned my mother was not baptized while I was pregnant with my 3rd son; I explained to her the importance of baptism. She was embarrassed and ashamed to get baptized when she was so old, but when I suggested she should get baptized with her newest grandson, she joyfully agreed!
My father, he’s much tougher. He’s been baptized, but he refuses to go to church, he complains about church ppl. Always blaming someone for his failures. With the death of my mother, he is now fearful of his own mortality.
I’ve beaten cancer, struggled to regain as much of my pre-cancer confidence and endurance, not there yet. Serving God’s purposes used to be far less complicated. Only God’s grace and mercy have carried me this far.
