From what I have heard and read, I think it may take a couple weeks to start. My doctor explained that the reason a lot of people stop taking Savella and perhaps is also why the statistics arent great on its effectiveness, is because people dont take it correctly and stop because of side effects. He explained how important it is to not move up to the next dosage until all side effects have gone away. Just took my first one!! i am keeping my fingers crossed and will let you know how it goes!
When I first starting taking this, I thought that it was having a positive impact (maybe slight decrease in pain level) but after reaching my full dose (50 mg twice a day) and staying on this for about a month, I do not think that it was helping. I took my last pill this morning. I am glad I gave it a shot because I met someone who it really worked for but in the end, it didnt help me.
