I'm so glad that you are able to see your dad, I hope you make some great memories with him. Oh, the snow does make it worse.
Snow and Ice scare that crap out of me, the fear of falling and re-injuring or a new injury is terrifying. Makes me sound like a 90 year old lady rather than a 48 year old... sad
The plane ride sounds awful :-( I hope you can get a better seat, I would tell the ticket counter that you are disabled and you really need to upgrade to better seating for your condition. Hopefully you can get some much needed rest and to be able to put your feet up.
I would agree, while I too have never been beat up, I wake up everyday with pain. It feels like I have been punched repetitively and I haven't even crawled out of bed yet..
((((hugs)))) Travel safe my friend.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that you can get a better seat. I understand how difficult air trave can be. Have a safe flight and I hope you recover quickly.
I'm with you on that feeling like you've been beaten and battered. It's almost like our muscles beat ourselves all the time, with the tight area in one place fighting and pulling against the tight area in one, two, three, and more places. And no one wins. Thinking it like that I'm amazed we function as well with it as we do!
Auntkat, I'm terrified of the ice too! It's my worst nightmare, because I am so clumsy anyway, frequently slip and slide, and I dread to think of the impact of yet another fall. I still haven't quite recovered from the last one, sigh, sigh, SIGH!!! Fresh snow is fine, as it has quite a good 'grip', it's old and frozen snow plus ice that worry me. This is one of the reasons I walk slower than a snail :)
