So my husband came across this (fairly new) form of trigger points treatment yesterday. He talked to the founding doctor for 40 minutes and is so excited for me to try this. Has anyone ever tried/heard of this??

The reason he likes it is because you get the "twitch" or "release" response from the trigger points without having to stick a needle in the muscle. Also you can get to deeper muscles that needles or massage can not reach.

Okay, so I contacted Dr. Chu via email and she said that the only place they perform this therapy is in Philadelphia. Actually that is not too far from me and I could take the train I think. The charge is $70 per half hour and it is not reimbursed by insurance, but the initial workup is. I might try this sometime in the new year.

Yeah, Dr. Chu is who my husband spoke to and he said she was very knowledgeable and really took the time to answer his questions. I am thinking about starting this in the near future.. This is also close and convenient to me and the price is low compared to other treatments I have tried.

(note that visible twitches cannot be recorded as electrophysiological signals on EMG since they have now become mechanical forces sometimes even strong enough to move the joint in an antigravity manner as well as fatigue while the joint is in antigravity position as in Twitch Dance video).

Yeah, it does look a little scary but it is supposedly painless.. I am thinking I may try in the next couple weeks. I will keep you posted.

Ya a couple of the vidoes look pretty narly, i wonder if after if you have had a treatment are the muscles going to be sore from such a huge work out. hummm

Hi everyone, I have taken some time off from posting due to travel and then this past week was not up for being on my computer. I want to share my recent experience with you all.
Right before the holidays, I was feeling better than I have felt in a year and a half. Just 7 etoims treatment had truly changed my life. I was forces to take 2 weeks off of treatment due to traveling for the holidays and what do you know, 4 days after my last treatment, I could feel the pain getting worse and spreading. It is the most frustrating thing in the world to literally feel my muscle tightness spreading around my whole neck - giving me a choking feeling, up to my jaws and of course over my entire back, and not being able to do anything about it. My pain level sky rocketed and I was counting down the minutes until I came home to start etoims again. This past Tuesday-Friday, I have had treatment everyday and have felt improvement everyday. My body is responding so well to this. I am not yet back to where I was before the holidays but I think after this week of daily treatment, I will be. I am truly thinking that this is my answer. Even though this treatment is currently only offered right outside of Philadelphia, you can purchase the machine.. I strongly encourage anyone near PA to give it a try.
