Like you, I had immediate results in lessening pain. Not just in my back, but all over my body. And of course, I feel calmer. I'd always breathed that way to relax and meditate. I just hadn't changed it permanently.
How long did it take for you to make it a habit? I was doing well for awhile, but with the stress of moving went back to old habits and am having to work at it again.
You're so right, myofascial, and it's really good to hear your story and experience. Some people use this focus on the breath as a basis for their relaxation, just lying still with a hand over the chest and a hand over the tunny and focusing on changing the chest for the tummy.
I know the theory, just need to make sure I put it into practice more than I do!!
