Myofascial Pain Syndrome Support Group
Myofascial Pain Syndrome (or MPS) is a term used to describe one of the conditions characterized by chronic pain. It is associated with and caused by "trigger points" (TrPs), sensitive and painful areas between the muscle and fascia. The symptoms can range from referred pain through myofascial trigger points to specific pains in other areas of the body. It may be related...
You poor poor thing. You so didn't need that. Good for you with the arnica (works wonders), unfortunately the trigger points aren't quite so easily appeased. My advice? Treat this as an acute flare up and manage it accordingly, rather than it dragging you down to the bottom of everything. It's a bump in the road, not a hole. Emotionally that can feel quite different.
And...don't worry about feeling miserable. You deserve to feel as miserable as possible, wallow in it even. This sucks so much and it's ok to vent that out and loud! A few choice swear words come to mind :-)
(the itching probably is the pills - it's usually a side effect of many of them).
I wish I had some brilliant advice to make it better (that mythical 'magic pill') but it's the weekend and pumpkin is doing too much in the week therefore is a wreck at the weekends.
But - can't I give the couch a methaphorical kick for you??
Wishing you the quickest recovery ever and a very gentle hug,
Pxxx
I wish I could say it more wisely and cheerfully as Pumpkin did. She's a gem.
It is a bump in the road not a hole, like pumpkin said and she knows. Good analogy or whatever it is.
I pray this added pain will ease and you can stay on top of this and not at the bottom. love, Pauli
I know that mold can make you sick. We had a serious case of mold in the school where I taught. Several teachers were sick all the time. One ended up in the hospital, he had such a severe reaction. I was lucky that my room wasn't too bad. Once I was meeting with a teacher in her room and within 20 minutes, I started having an attack of hay fever. We moved to my room and it went away. If you think your reaction to your new place is due to mold, I would move out as soon as possible.
I agree with Katty2 if you think there is mold I would move out.
We just had to move my sister in law. She was so very sick, the Drs couldent figure out what was wrong but they supected it was toxic mold. We couldent pin point if it was her work or home that she was getting sick from. She has gotten a little better each day since we moved her out of the town she was living in lol we moved her clear too another state.
At least have your lil studio apt checked and see if thats the culprit,
Be really careful and take care of yourself. ((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))
I talked to the mother of the kid I am subletting from yesterday. She was sympathetic, but said there is no way they could rent the place out to someone else at this late date. So I guess I will pay the rent and just try to travel a lot. It was warm last night so I opened the doors to the patio wide and draped a mosquito net across it and got a lot of ventilation. It was almost bearable.
I have been applying the electric massager to my legs and it has really helped with the myofascial pain. So I guess I am almost back to where I started.
