I asked something similar a few weeks ago, just in theory at that time. However I went to a new neuro yesterday and he ordered blood work even though he knew I had just finished 5 days of IVIG two days before. My concern is that the IVIG may skew the results. He ordered voltage gated channel blocker, as well as binding, blocking, modulating antibody tests.
He also did an EMG test, even though I was concerned that it may not be accurate even though I had taken Mestinon an hour before (I didn't know he was going to perform this test). It showed some irregularities, but I am a little confused about his interpretation of what the irregularities mean.
Has anyone had experience with getting blood tests shortly after IVIG? WayneM and EmmaKo weighed in earlier and thought it could affect the results. Real life experience, anyone?

I am just repeating what I was told by the doctors, and following tests have shown no Hep B antibodies later.
