She isn't one to believe in any "quackery" either.
Their are other foods that help with pain and inflammation as well.
Food is medicine.

Icey Hot always helps. The low odor one doesn't work as well.
I have osteoarthritis too, and fibromyalgia.
Your muscle pain could be from overuse of your muscles. I notice this too. Good luck finding something to help you.
That being said, I'm taking a bucket o' pills for various documented deficiencies. Maybe you can try something reasonably safe like a multi-vitamin to see if any deficiencies are then covered? I drink almond milk and recently found that my Vitamin E levels are finally normal without supplements and nuts are all I've used for years to fix that previous deficiency (from being an undiagnosed celiac).
