The prednisone works very quickly, and the Imuran works in 6 months (they say). The tapering off from the prednisone is important -- don't drop too fast.
Don't know what I am going to do in the future -- if I can take this drug for decades. Seems okay for now. ~Joe
Hopefully in a year, we'll stop Prednisone and I'll just need Imuran ... with, at most, a small remaining daily amount of Mestinon, as required for any symptom relief still needed (e.g. fatigue).
Here's hoping you have the same progress for the OMG ... I guess the main thing is settling down our core issue which is our immune system mixed up radar!!
