I was on it about a month before I started the taper. Now, it has been 8 months. My neuro believes tramadol may need to be put on the contraindicated list for myasthenics. Because you have respiratory issues like I do, you are more at risk for this effect the longer you are on tramadol since your body becomes addicted to it due to it's ssri/snri properties.
That being said, it is NOT a usual reaction. It is normally a sign of overdose and not withdrawl so no one had ever seen it before me...
