I am so very sorry that your hubby is going thru this. I have had MG for 14 yrs now. I had my thymus removed a month after diagnosed. I was on Prednisone and Mestinon for awhile and then in 1999 I went into respiratory distress and they put me on Imuran and took me off of alot of my Mestinon and I still struggle on a daily basis but I am alot better than I was then. I'm just so exhausted all the time, can't do anything without becoming so weak and tired. Tell your hubby not to worry about surgery if thats an option. I was never in any pain. It wasn't that bad at all. Has he had plasmapheresis before?
