I am not on a steroid regimen yet for my MG but had to go to the ER last night for a wicked migraine.
They gave me a shot of Decadron in the IV they had in me -
Today I feel good! Like a little spring in my step.
You think it is just a good day or maybe a sign that I could benefit from steroids which my new neuro is considering - also could you tell from just one shot?

I've only had a big shot of steroids once, while in the ICU for my crisis. Boy did that help! I think I was given 80mg of prednisone, and that perked me up quickly! :)

Hi there glad you feel better!! Its hard to say we all respond to different meds but I have been taking prednisone for years now and that has helped me the most of anything that has so far...I have reduced dosage over the years...Dont like side affects but as I said has worked the best for me.....Still have ups and many downs but so far working well for eyes breathing etc etc.....So good luck hope if you decide with neuro to take it works for you.....jacki

I was dropping from 7 to 6 last month.
I was doing really well and then one morning when I had a house full of guests I felt so dizzy. I then took 1 extra tablet of prednisone and I was fine.
I have never done that before but I was glad it worked in an emergency.
Better than risk of falling or calling way too much attention to myself.
I was also able to continue entertaining my guests.
