Just returned home from Vanderbilt and the Neurologist. The plasma exchange does not seem to be effective any longer . . . so I will not have any more plasma exchanges. Tomorrow's exchange is canceled. I had twenty-two exchanges in just a little over a year; twelve since April 27.
The tunneled catheter will be removed from my neck/chest soon and I begin monthly IV Cytoxan treatments (chemotherapy) at Vanderbilt in September. I am waiting for scheduling now.
Since I am not aware of many people on IV Cytoxan, I plan to document my experience to help provide information for others.

I am not familiar with all the ins and outs of PLEX and IVIG, but remember that cytoxan was hard on my kid's veins after a while. What you have in may be totally inappropriate for the delivery of cytoxan, or you may want it out for other reasons, but I thought I'd just mention that.
