Is anyone participating in the Myasthenia Gravis walk in Santa Monica, Ca Nov. 17? I am new to this & me having this condition & still learning on how to cope I am very interested on doing this but idk where to start. Has anyone ever participated in one?

I am participating in the virtual walk. I just went to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of Americia website and clicked on the button for MG Walk. Not sure about a regular scheduled event, sorry. I beleive there are prompts for joining scheduled events on the site now that I think about it.

I didn't know about it. I will be in SoCal in July, but I could always make another trip in Nov...Who knows?

I too will check out the virtual walk and see what that is all about.

I just singed up for it! Its a really short walk. You can choose the 1 or 3 mile walk. It will be me with my wife and kids. I also have a couple of other friends and family that might come along. Its really easy to sign up. We havnt started much fund raising yet. My wife works in a big office. She is going to buy a Kindle fire and sell raffle tickets. We are going to have a garage sale and a bake sale or two.

I'm afraid I couldn't do any kind of walk. I can barely walk across the room and to go into the den I have to use my cane or rollator. I have absolutely no strength. But I used to speed walk and you all know the frustration I am feeling in trying to get this monster under control. It has been a year since my diagnosis. I am just praying that this Specialist will find or know something to do to help me improve my quality of life.
