Any experience with this drug? I'm typing for my cousin--She now has a trach put in and is wondering if anyone has had experience with this drug. She has been in the hospital for well over 2 weeks now. Was on a ventilator for about 15 days. She was given IVIG and steroids. They are trying this drug because not much improvement at all with other treatments.

2 years ago, I was in very rough shape myself, just like your cousin. I was intubated, for many days.
It took several months to kick in, but Rituxan has saved my life.
Better than that. Rituxan has given me back some of my life - that I thought was gone forever.
Until the Rituxan kicks in, high-dose steroids and regular IVIG - will hopefully stabilize your cousin. I hope recovery will go forward, and the trach can be removed fairly soon.

PS: tell your cousin: I was 4-months in the hospital, but I am alive today, after life-saving Rituxan.
