Pupils diff sizes

Sorry forgot this question. Has anyone experienced one pupil much larger than the other at random & no preference to which will be the larger one than last time. 1st time it happened was about 3 years ago in Tx, I freaked, went straight to my opthamologist, did test then sent me to the neuro, he did an MRI found no explanation but since then always happens at random. ;( go figure thx MeLisa

That's my understanding, too, Melissa. I wouldn't get too concerned unless it becomes an everyday occurrence.

For years I've had unequal pupils but mine tends to be the same eye always. It was first noticed when I was 17, so almost 30 years ago. I was in a minor car accident and hit my head. My one big pupil put me in the hospital overnight. Now it gets me lots of questions and lots of "hmmms" from doctors.

I have pictures of myself with one pupil larger than the other. I brought it up to the Opthamologist and they couldn't get it to happen again and also had no great concern for it. It scared me because my younger sister had a brain tumor and that was one of the first signs on her. But I also had an MRI and thankfully it was clear.
I think and I could be completely wrong... it has something to do with the droopy lid and not getting the same amount of light in each eye... that probably sounds stupid! I am just thankful it's nothing serious.
Speaking of eyes... my dousble vision is getting worse. :(

I've suspected it several times, but can't see well enough without my glasses to tell and since I don't need anything else weird, have just figured it was my imagination or part of MG neither of which I can do anything about, so haven't worried. b.

Ok Curt, you've been thru a lot along w/ the others who hv posted since I'm new w/ this I'm realizing some past red flags. In my late 20's was sent to opthamologist specialist, can't even remember which eye she said a had a tiny hole ,here again can't remember, in a part of my eye & just not worry to much & keep a check on. In my early 30's had completed all the LASIK work-ups for LASIK surgery, doc approved then on day of surgery doc came in & said when going back over my work-ups found, here again no clue, an issue w/ one of my eyes & would not do the LASIK due to high risk of going blind & possibly in both! She said I could probably find a LASIK surgeon that would do it but she was a definate NO & pursued to urge me to not ever hv it done, no problem. Never did after that advise! But after reading Curt's post , it is I'd say 5-6 out of 7 days but can come & go in the same day, so now on the hunt for a neuro-ortho. Most people look at me like I'm on street drugs or something:-0
