Now I am at 6/7/6/7
The alternating day schedule just worked better for me. I don't really know why. Maybe you will do fine with what your doc recommended.
Alternate day dosing may help stimulate the body's own production with falling levels. But like many other things MG we are different in the way we handle tapering--for some it goes smoothly, other have to inch it down and some just do not tolerate the larger swings of every other day dosing.
My doc's recommendation is no more than 10% at a time and no more often than every two weeks. I have needed to taper even more slowly and this summer didn't taper at all given the heat and extra exertion. Trying to taper when you are not stable or improving is not likely to be successful and may land you back where you started or on an even higher dose.
Good luck however you and your doctor decide to do it, but do protest if you feel a drop is too much or too soon. b.
Ps alternative days never worked for me.
