Hi Sarah100, thanks for the compliment on my weird assortment of photos. I google avatars on the computer. If I want a happy one (happy picture) then I literally type "happy avatar" and just scroll through whatever comes up until I see one I like. The one I have at the moment I just typed avatar and tried different sites that google gave me. I just searched through until I found the weird blob with eyes that I thought was cute.

The red sun photo I had before was a picture that I took last week at nearly sunset, the red sun was due to the fires close by.

Sometimes I have the "Lady of Shalott" picture as my avatar. I love the painting and did a google search and just copied it to My Documents, then changed my pic space to it. As long as the avatars or pictures or photos are a jpeg file, they will work. Just try a google image search for ... even a flower, save it to your documents, open up DS and go to your profile and change your photo. It says browse... so browse through your documents to select your file then press download. Hey presto, your new picture should be there.

I am not very computer literate either but through trial and error I sometimes go the long way to do things. Sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Anyway I am sure there are much more computer cluey people here who know of better ways to get good avatars but just try it and see how it goes. Good Luck and thanks again!

Thanks so much for giving me your procedure. I'm going to get my husband or one of my kids to go thru it with me so I don't screw it up. You'll know if I got it if I ever change my photo to something interesting. It will be a whole new world! Sarah100

Another question. So, when I put my photo on the profile, it changes all my past response photos also. How do you get it to just change the photos going forward? Thanks for being my tutor. Sarah100

Hi Sarah, not quite sure I understand what you asked about the photos. Can you explain more what you mean by past and forward photos? Sorry in a mental fog at present and not much of a tutor as my experience is pretty limited but I will try to help.

It's been a long week so sorry it's taken awhile to respond. Let me try asking a question- Why, when I change my profile photo, does the new photo replace the old photo on all my responses? It's cool if you don't know- I'm just curious. No rush. Thanks. Sarah

Hi Sarah, sorry to hear that your week has been long and all that that involves. Yes to your question. When you change your picture on your profile, it does change all responses left by you throughout the site to the new picture. It replaces all the old picture with the new one.
