Numbness and tingling

I not only have numbness in my fingers but across my midsection to my hips. I have started mestinon and it has not lessened. What is very interesting....after getting double vision and before the onset of weakness in my legs, I had extreme lower back and hip pain. The hip pain is gone now and replaced with numbness. Has anyone had that?

No, never heard of symptoms like that all all as being associated with MG. Sounds like something else. Weakenss in the legs is common, however, as is numbness in the lips.

Welcome!
I read your profile and apparently you had a stroke last month? Wow! Glad you are here with us...Sounds pretty recent and your symptoms don't seem out of the question having had a stroke. I am no doctor, but my concern is the possibility of another stroke or at least the relation of the symptoms and what you could have or what could happen. It is best that you consult your MD and/or Neurologist about this in my opinion. Hope you feel better soon!

Sorry I alarmed some people with the word stroke!! I referred to 6th nerve stroke which is a common term used when you damage the the 6th nerve muscle that controls lateral movement. I had an MRI of brain and many other tests so no concerns of a stroke!

previous comment not complete. 6th nerve stroke is damage only to the 6th nerve muscle of THE EYE only.

Are they sure the 6th nerve palsy is not a part of your MG? b.

That's exactly how my legs weakness starte too, with extreme lowe back pain, which has subsided now. I am left with numbness and tingling too which come and go and alternate with leg cramps. I take mestinon too but it hasn't helped so far...

yeah it's definitely peripheral neuropathy and sometimes it can get very severe... but I have tried lyrica and neurotin and though they helped with the pain they made my fatigue even worse...
