Neurontin?

Hi dear ones!
Just checking to see if anyone has had any issues
With taking neurontin.
I was prescribed it last week for my neuropathy
And am double checking on it.

I took it last year for neuropathic pain. It works for many people, but for me, it made me feel drunk, I almost fell three times in one day, and couldn't remember to take my meds.
Needless to say, I stopped it.
But don't let my experience stop you from at least trying it.

Had two concussions in less than a year, had post-concussion symdrome and was treated for resulting severe headaches.
They ended up giving me extended release neurontin which made headaches bearable. .

MG was in remission at the time so not sure about effects on MG or medicines treating it.

I take Neurontin (gabapentin) as a crutch to help me taper off of a benzodiazepine (lorazepam). Aside from some brain fog prior to my three cups of French Roast in the morning, I have had no problems with it. The neurologist who is managing my MG said that he is unaware of any problems with taking Neurontin in the presence of MG. That said, if you do some googling on the subject, you will find some opposing points of view. Who knows who is right? I can only say that for me, it has not been a problem.
