i know that cleveland is not really that close to dayton but there are some really great docs at university hospitals

If your from dayton Ohio, I am witha group of 5 neuro-muscular docs at University hospital in cincinnati, they have had much experience in treating MG patients! I just switchted to them in January because most people in my local MG support group go to them and wouldn't go any where else. Let me know if you want more info.

I had some extended tests done at UAB inBirmingham and I asked one of the doctors who was from Dayton, if she new an MG specialist there. She said there was a father and son last name Bradley Jr and Sr. She couldn't remember the first name. I guess you just have to try see for yourself if you are campatable with a doc. I hope you find one that you like!

Hi! The group has 2 locations one north of the city in west Chester, and one closer to city next to University Hospital. phone # 513-475-8730. so we are back, we saw a specialist at both UC and OSU and both blew her off. Then she had surgery and had a problem with the paralytics given to facilitate intubation, she took 1/4 the dose and it lasted 2-3 times longer than usual. The anesthesia staff came out afterwards and told me she acted just like a MG pt with the paralytics, now we need a Doc who is willing to admit they do not know everything!!!

Hello! Did she ever get her MuSk test results?

What kind of symptoms is she having?

Did the Mestinon ever help?

Has their been any kind of electrical testing done? (if everybody is blowing her off, then I'm guessing NOT).

Oh boy, I feel terrible for you and your wife. This seems to be a common topic for us myasthenics (being in limbo).

Wow, I'm so sorry that you and your wife are in such a terrible state. It shouldn't be this hard. We shouldn't have to fight for every sing thing and should never be treated in this manner. As MGOhio stated, this is a very common issue for us.

Since I am moving back to Columbus soon, this is all very helpful information for me. I hope that you two can figure this all out. Good luck to you both.

Who did you see at UC? There are some neurologists there that blew me off too!! finally found the right ones. There is a Dr.Hani Kushlaf who is fairly new to UC but he specializes in MG and has a great reputation already as being very helpful and knowledgeable.

Dr.Hani Kushlaf was the rudest physician I have ever met in 25 years as a nurse.
