I thought I would share this. Someone mentioned that I should because maybe my case can help others.

I was diagnosed with MG about 10 years ago. I started getting the double vision, eye drooping and honestly, by the time I was diagnosed I was wearing a patch on one eye because I could not focus otherwise.

My neurologist prescribed prednisone. I took prednisone for probably 5 years. It gave me the shakes, made me sick and just overall did not like taking a steroid due to side-effects.

Then about four years ago I decided to get a Medical Marijuana card (medical is legal in AZ). Then after a month or two I decided to experiment and started cutting down the prednisone and eventually stopped taking it. Over the last four years I have had two episodes where I can feel the onset of the MG. The first time was about two years ago when I stopped Marijuana. The second was about two weeks ago, when I stopped Marijuana.

I am not saying that this is a cure or advocating anyone use it. I am simply saying it works for me and I have proven that it works for me. This last time I had let my med card expire to force myself into making sure it was the marijuana and not in my head. After a week of not taking it I started getting double vision. I panicked and rushed out to get a new card. I am now totally back to where I was and am thankful I now know for sure what I need and thankful I don’t need the prednisone.

My doctor indicated that MG is on many states lists for Medical Marijuana uses.
