I am not musk positive. However, long before I was diagnosed with MG, I had sudden breathing problems accompanied by significant and inexplicable anxiety. The anxiety was, in part, due to not being able to breathe as well as going from one doctor to another only to be told they didn't know what was wrong with me. The anxiety
lasted about 6 months. I did take anti-anxiety meds at that time. Now, occasionally when the breathing gets sketchy, I have momentary anxiety, but it does not last--thankfully! Based upon my previous experience, I DO think there is a link between MG and anxiety. Then add to that our breathing problems and the paucity of information our docs know about the disease. We have reason to be anxious!
I hope others who are musk positive respond to your post. Please know that you are not alone. If you need to take the anti-anxiety meds for a while, don't fear. Do whatever you need to do to get better and look at it, not as a weakness but as you equipping yourself to get strong and healthy!
Hope this helps!
