ANNOUNCING THE 2012 PODCAST SERIES. GET INVOLVED!
The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, Inc. produces patient-oriented Podcasts* with information on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of myasthenia gravis (MG) to further its mission of increasing awareness and providing information on MG to the community.
In 2012, we are producing a special series of six Podcasts highlighting the specific needs of teenagers, individuals in their 20s to early 30s, and parent(s) of a child with MG. These Podcasts are intended to answer your questions on (1) exercising, (2) dating, (3) school (4) the workplace, (5) starting a family, and (6) medical treatments. We need you to drive the discussion as this series will be interactive. We want teenagers, young adults, and parents of children with MG to participate in these Podcasts.
Two easy ways for you to get involved:
Become a forum member. Volunteer to participate in one of our Podcasts as a forum member. You can join the discussion by phone - no travel necessary! Contact the National Office at 800-541-5454 to participate in a podcast.
Send Questions. Do you have questions that you would like answered by myasthenia gravis experts? While we are specifically looking for questions relating to the six topics identified above, we are open to other questions you may have on other topics. Email your questions to mgfa@myasthenia.org.
*Podcasts are digital audio or video files that can be downloaded over the Internet or through services such as iTunes that convey information through a dialogue among two or more people or an individual giving a speech or presentation.
