I sometimes can feel a difference with 15 mg of mestinon. I break the pills in half and then half again. When I was adjusting up or down, I would go by 30 mg increase or decrease, then by 15mg until I felt improvement. We should never "play with our medicines" unless our doctor is ok with it. Sometimes, too, I would adjust my doses closer together in the morning and farther in the afternoon. Never more than 4 -5 hours apart. I could not tolerate timespan -which should not be cut in half, by the way. It's time release and you could get too much in your system. Confirmed by my doc and pharmacist.
For a long time I only took 30 mg. Now, I don't take any, because my muscle weakness isn't my main symptom, fatigue is. Each of us are different, and I have several other autoimmune diseases and other illnesses to deal with.
I hope you find a dose that's right for you.

So since not forcibly closed like yesterday and less mestinon this morning, I'm hoping that means the prednisone is kicking in although still not at optimal dose of 60.
Sounds simple enuf but what do I mean the SEs of mestinon are the symptoms of the disease? Do you mean they mirror the same symptoms or like prednisone your current symptoms worsen?
You mention having several other AIs Boy do I know about comprbidity!! Makes me feel so sad. BUT I was blessed to literally beat MS with diet and naltrexone. I have to know I can get beyond this too with Gods Help!
Thank you so much again for your feedback!
Is the consensus as prednisone is working less mestinon is needed? Thoughts on why it would like a charm first 3 doses and then nothing?
