I have had hypertension at least borderline for over 40 years. Ten years ago I was having spikes in the 300/100 range in the doctor's office. (I have white coat hypertension, but that is rediculous.) Since April I have been having episodes of lightheadedness associated with postural changes and blood pressure changes, becoming a daily occurrence. My doctor has cut my blood pressure medication in half, but am still having problems.
Has anyone else had blood pressure changes with improvement in their MG? I am only on Mestinone and prednisone, which should either raise my blood pressure (steroids) or treat postural hypotension (Mestinon). My blood pressure is staying in the 110/60 range for most of the day, but falling as low as 85/55. b.

Have you been tapering down prednisone, since April?
(... maybe the adrenal glands are slow to come back?)

But so much about MG does not make sense and, of course, it could be unrelated, but interesting that you have experienced it, too, ollie, and I know Roy asked about it and debra has had problems. b.
so there with you on this topic. I have had very low bp's the past few months. I use to have normal low bp then 08 was put on bp meds then since the mg my bp you never know what it will be. This spring it has been very low like yours.

I use to have high blood pressure, but because mine dropped so low they have taken me completely off the blood pressure medication. Before taking me off I use to be that low just about every day. Now I run around 100/70.
I too was having episodes of postural hypotension,where everything would go black and I would have to lie down.My medication had to be changed after I went on Mestinon to an ace inhibitor This was when I started having problems I was sent to John's cardiologist and he reduced the doseage.I am fine now
For some reason when I had the muscle biopsy it dropped to 91/55.I too have white coat hypertension so my usual reading in the doc's is 140/80 but is120/80 when at home.
