A dear friend's mother died last week. She would have been 97 this Christmas Eve; and although my friend is determined to make this season a celebration of her life, I know the loss will be keenly felt. Many of us, as well as those we know, are experiencing loss this holiday season, loss of homes, traditions, health, family, and friends. Amidst the celebrations, just a note to say you are not alone or forgotten, and that I hope you find comfort, peace, and healing. I hope the new year will bring you much joy and newfound happiness--not to replace that which is lost, but to add to the celebration of that which is.

I am so glad I can come here, and be with so many awesome people that understand...
I am very much looking forward to the New Year and all that it will bring. Of course there will be highs and lows, just like other years. Hopefully many more high points. Here is to all of us for 2012! All we need is for the next year to be better than the last, and I don't think that is too much to hope for... Let us all have a fantastic year to come.
