Legs giving out = Falling

i hv a ?   Do any of you get warning your legs are going to give out on you ?  


I'm struggling getting my MG back under control again and things are just a mess.  The Eyes lids and doubling are a pain and can get unmanageable but for the most part you can keep yourself pretty safe 


my legs are giving out on me and down I go.  Fell a couple of times now. Today's was the bad 20+ stitches on my face all messed up left side of my face. Nothing broke so I guesse I am happy for that.  Now a scare across my face to remind me of MG everyday.  


Any suggestions?  This is the 4th fall in 3 wks.  I beet with my Nero on Friday

I'm so sorry to hear about your fall! how is your head? did you get a concussion? I have a bad fall to my face this time last year (ice, not MG) with a bad concussion. When you've healed a bit more there are laser treatments that can help reduce the scars a lot.

Yes, I've had this for years. I have a potential MG diagnosis and have been using a walker when walking more than short distances. First my feet start dragging and then I trip and fall. For short distances or hills or steps I use two walking sticks as canes. I now have ice tracker devices for my boots as I fall way too easily anyways. It was a really difficult step for me to go out in public with a walker. Now only 57 so people look at me strangely. But I need to rest and sit on it. Spent too much time sitting on curbs on a trip to NY five years ago so bit the bullet and got the walker so I can maintain some strength in my legs and prevent falls and breaks.

Hi Whales86, I was falling prior to starting treatment in Sept 2016, even on Mestinon 60 mgs 4x's a day, my legs still would become weak. I have not fallen in about 5 months, but I know what you mean. My legs would feel heavy, then I would drag my right leg and just fall down. Lately, my leg just appears to give out but I grab a wall or don't actually fall down. I wondering if can be weak back muscles. I been having a lot of back spasms when I walk or stand to long.
It sounds like your MG is relapsing. The one thing I'm concerned about is that MG can come back even under a treatment plan, after remission, thyectomy and infusions. There has to be better way to deal with MG. I hope your Dr's appt. goes well. I use a cane after 6 months of treatment just for balance, as suggested above a walker may be helpful. I just hope your neuro finds some resolve for you. Blessings and Prayers !!!!
