IVIG and Medicare

Hi All


I used to get the IVIG infusion at home every 4 weeks and itkept me running.  Recently I switched to Medicare and having problems with Medicare approving the treatment at home.  Is there anyone on Medicare who gets IVIG at home and how it's working for you.

they have requested from medicare by your doctor to be aproved bd and that is all to be done
as for the treatment they work the same as if you would have got them in the hospital.

my last ivg treatment was late 2019 and since i feel great

I have asked my VA neuro if my IVIG treatments are available for home use and was told no. They wish to monitor all infusion patients. I have monthly IVIG treatments.

I would be interested in home infusions if they were available. I could switch to Medicare but do not wish to go through all of the testing that would be required for me to make the switch. I also do not know if they approve of the home infusions.

Thank you guys for your input, I know for sure, because of a new 2019 law, that Medicare approves IVIG at home. What I hear now, the problem is that MG is not on the Priority List of Immunodeficiency diseases. My neuro says that I can go to the infusion facility and get it there.
I was in MG crisis three times. To be safe my neuro wants me to get the IVIG every four weeks to keep me out of the hospital.
